02-03-2006 - Belgium - Brussels - European seminar on staff training

Exploring new avenues in training first line staff aiming at Community based settings and inclusion.

During the seminar, speakers from different countries looked at the challenges ahead starting from the overall objective of the service providing sector, being an inclusive society were persons with a disability can play an active and respected role.

The conclusion of the seminar is that moving towards community based settings and full inclusion, requires re-training of staff and first line workers in order to be able to understand and deal with the fast evolving needs.
