Demos’ work on Independent Living is funded by Scope, the disability organisation in England and Wales whose focus is people with cerebral palsy, and British Telecom. It grew out of an earlier Demos/Scope project on Disablism.
Our research has focussed on community organisations and the types of support and resources they offer to support disabled people to access Independent Living. This paper represents our interim findings and will feed into a final publication to be released on May 26 2005.
